5th Annual Awards Honor Technology Innovation in New England
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - June 5, 2008 --VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software for Situation Management, today announced that its VidShieldTM PSIM system and platform was awarded the Best Implementation Award at the 2008 MITX Technology Awards. The MITX Technology Awards, presented by the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange, recognize innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements. Honorees for this year's awards were announced last night in a ceremony at The Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge.

The VidShield system and platform integrates input from all physical security, sensor and video surveillance devices, analyses this data to determine the actual situation, provides video display of the situation for verification, and then provides an action plan to help manage and resolve the situation. This helps security teams eliminate false alarms in their surveillance systems and highlights the important information to assist in real-time response to emergency situations. The VidShield platform was awarded an Overall Solution Impact Award at the 2007 MITX Technology Awards.
