Vidsys software to create unified situational awareness and safety during RNC
CLEVELAND, OH – July 18, 2016 – Vidsys, a global provider of enterprise Converged Security and Information Management (CSIM) software, announced today that the City of Cleveland will utilize its video integration and situation management technology for security operations during the Republican National Convention. Cleveland’s Department of Public Utilities (DPU) and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) currently use Vidsys software and recommended expanding Vidsys to City Hall to support the Convention.
Vidsys’ CSIM platform will collect and analyze video feeds from hundreds of cameras throughout downtown Cleveland and areas surrounding the Quicken Loans Arena where the Convention will take place. The software platform will integrate multiple disparate Video Management Systems in order to provide real-time information that allows multiple agencies involved to better manage the safety of the event through a single unified interface. Vidsys software is able to collect, analyze, verify, resolve and track information from multiple disparate subsystems using open architecture standards that enable authorized users to view and manage situations as they unfold.
“Vidsys is excited to partner with the City of Cleveland with securing the Republican National Convention,” said Vidsys CEO, James I. Chong. “While the RNC may be a logistical challenge requiring integration from disparate systems from multiple government entities, the lessons learned and the technology employed can provide long-term benefits for the City of Cleveland beyond the event.”
