Vidsys Bolsters Leadership Team

New Board Member and Vice President of Professional Services Join Growing Physical Security Information Management Leader

Vienna, VA ─ December 7, 2010 ─ VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time, today announced it has grown its senior management team and added to its Board of Directors as the company continues to grow.  Kenneth Boyda joins the Board as the newest independent director and Eric Driscoll has been appointed the company’s new vice president of professional services.  Together, they bring almost six decades of experience to their new roles.

“Our tremendous success in the PSIM space has fueled continued growth of our leadership team and we are thrilled to have Ken and Eric on board,” explained Chuck Teubner, CEO of VidSys.  “Ken’s security expertise and experience directing innovative technology companies in the security and safety industry make him an asset for VidSys as we continue to steer the PSIM market.  Eric’s depth of experience and ability to build strong relationships with business and technology executives will prove valuable in leading our professional services department and guiding our customers to success.”

Boyda brings extensive domestic and international security industry experience to the VidSys Board of Directors.  He previously served as president and CEO of GE Security, Inc., a global company focused on communication technologies and information services for security, safety and lifestyle enhancement needs of consumers, businesses and governments.  Prior to that, Boyda served as president, CEO and director at Interlogix, Inc. until it was acquired by General Electric Company to form GE Security in 2002.  He also served as president and CEO of SLC Technologies, Inc., a technology and manufacturing leader in the electronic security industry that merged with ITI Technologies, Inc. to form Interlogix, Inc. in 2000.  In addition, he has held numerous senior management positions at companies including Colotran, Inc. and American Can Company.  Boyda has previously served as a director for the Security Industry Association and is on the Boards of several technology companies.  In 2006, he was inducted into the SSI (Security Sales & Integration) Hall of Fame, a lifetime achievement award that recognizes those individuals whose distinguished careers have helped shape the electronic security industry.

Driscoll brings extensive experience in building professional services organizations for enterprise software companies to the VidSys leadership team, where he will be responsible for overseeing the operation and strategic direction of the services department.  Prior to joining VidSys, he served as a managing partner at Claraview, a professional services firm focused on business intelligence solutions for commercial and U.S. government organizations that was acquired by Teradata Corporation in 2008.  Prior to Claraview, he served as worldwide vice president of services for software companies Crystal Decisions, Inc. and MicroStrategy, Inc.   With almost 25 years of information technology experience, Driscoll began his consulting career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and Sybase Professional Services.
